Park and Retrieve with Reminder

Using Park and Retrieve with Reminder, you can put a call on hold at a park location so that it can be retrieved from another phone at your business. This feature provides a reminder indication for parked calls for all phones programmed with the associated Line/BLF key.

To use this feature, you (or a system administrator) must program a Park on X memory key (where X is the specific park location) for the Park/Retrieve with Reminder feature. For information on how to program the key on your phone, see Park Location with Reminder and Programmable Memory Key Features.

The parked call can be picked up from any phone programmed with the associated Park on X key.

This feature is available only with Poly phones. For other phones, see the Park and Retrieve feature.

To put a call on hold at a park location, follow these steps:

  1. While on an active call, select a memory key programmed with the Park on X key.

The system places the call on hold at that park location.

The indicator associated with the Park on X key turns red.

You are no longer connected with the caller and your phone returns to the idle state.

If the call is not picked up within the designated Call Park Duration, a reminder ring will occur, along with a green LED flash and a call-parked message on the screen (on phones so equipped), on all phones configured with the associated Park on X key.

To retrieve a parked call, follow these steps:

  1. From an idle phone, either:
    • lift the handset
    • press the Line key
  2. press the Park on X key where X is the location of your parked call

Or:

  1. When the park reminder occurs (the phone rings and the Park on X key flashes), either:
    • lift the handset
    • press the Line key
  2. press the flashing Park on X key
  • To cancel the retrieval of the parked call, press QUIT or go on-hook.
  • If the call is not picked up within the designated Call Park Duration, a reminder ring will occur, along with a green LED flash and a call-parked message on the screen (on phones so equipped), on all phones configured with the associated Park on X key.
