Callers will hear your recorded name announcement as confirmation when they use the Auto Attendant name directory to contact you.

This records the name announcement for the Auto Attendant. This does not record your voicemail greeting.

To record, or re-record your name announcement, follow these steps:

1. Click Personal Details in the left menu.
2. Click Record Name Announcement in the Automated Attendant Prompt section.

   The system displays a Record Prompt pop-up window.

3. Confirm that the extension displayed matches phone you want to use. If the extension is not the same, enter an alternate extension.
4. Click Call.
5. When your phone rings, lift the handset to answer.
6. Listen to a brief set of audio instructions, "Please record your message after the tone. When you are finished, press "#" for more options".
7. When you hear the tone, record your name into the handset.
8. When you are finished, press the # key.
9. The system plays the following set of options.
   • To listen to the recording, press 1.
   • To save the recording, press 2.
   • To re-record, press 3.
   • To exit without saving changes, press *.
10. Press 2 to save the name announcement.
11. Replace the handset.
12. Click Close in the pop-up window.
