Enable Emergency Override Routing

When you enable Emergency Override Routing for a specific phone number, calls to that number are always routed as configured in this section, rather than following the routing configured in the Time of Day Routing section.

To enable Emergency Override Routing, follow these steps:

  1. Click Incoming Call Routing in the left menu
  2. Select the phone number that you want calls to be routed to.
  3. In the Emergency Override section, check Enable Emergency Override Routing.
  4. Select one of the following:
    • Not Assigned
    • Auto Attendant
    • Calling Group
    • Employee/Location
    • Other
  5. Click Save.

When Emergency Override is enabled, the main Incoming Call Routing page will show all the Time of Day call destinations (Open, Closed, Lunch, Special) as grayed out and the Override destination is displayed in bold.

The CLID for toll free numbers must be the number associated with the actual calling party (even on forwarded calls). This is to support geographic routing of the toll free call.
