Configure Poly SIP Phones

Once your Service Provider has configured your network to make Poly SIP phones available, you may have to configure the phones for your subscribers to use.

To configure Poly phones, follow these steps:

  1. Factory reset the phone(s).
  2. Individual subscribers login from their phones.
You cannot assign Poly phones from WebAdmin.

Special Case for Poly CCX Phones

For Poly CCX phones manufactured between March 24, 2021, and December 10, 2022, ZTP is not enabled by default. To enable the phones to reach the ZTP Server for redirection to the silhouette system, follow this procedure:

  1. Perform an initial out-of-the-box boot.
  2. When the change admin password screen appears, power cycle the phone (unplug it temporarily).
  3. Factory reset the phone:
    • Perform the 4-corner press, during the second appearance of the Poly logo
    • Let it complete the boot process
  4. When the change admin password screen appears again, power cycle it again.
  5. During this boot up process the phone should reach the ZTP server.
This applies to Poly CCX 500, 505, 600 and 700 phones. CCX 400 phones and other Poly phones are not affected. For further information, see Poly Engineering Advisory 73851.
